We are looking for a qualified DSP to care for our individuals in a professional and compassionate manner. It’s often a demanding job, but it can also be very gratifying.
The ideal candidate will be dependable and courteous with outstanding communication skills. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help individuals.
Assist individuals with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
Assist individual with personal care and hygiene (as needed, if/when they need help).
Help individual's complete goals they have.
Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the individuals (if/when they are able)
Do the individual's shopping or accompany them when they shop
Perform light housekeeping duties that individuals can’t complete on their own
Be a pleasant and supportive DSP
Report any unusual incidents
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Proven experience in the supported field
Valid Driver License and Social Security card
Updated CPR/First Aid certification
Updated TB test
Valid car insurance
Ability to pass several background checks and drug screen
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Respectful and compassionate
Good time management skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Physical endurance
